Well it's been way too long since I've updated this page! After moving to Seattle in June, I spent some time getting oriented with my wife, then decided to start finding places to play. I was fortunate to get some great reccomendations from locals, and ended up playing some really great gigs from October until last Friday. I've played Seattle, Tacoma, and Snoqualmie, and enjoyed every inch of it all. 2015 was a great year for me to dive back into the live music scene, covering some ground in NY and WA. I'll post some photos here from the gigs I've had over the last few months, and I look forward to what 2016 brings!
I'm a bit late in posting this, but time gets away from me pretty easily lately! I had a great night in my second outing at The Way Station in Brooklyn. A big thanks to my wife Christy, and my friends Andrew and Meredith for supporting me as always. It was a nice crowd, and a great vibe. Now I'll be focusing on my upcoming gig at the BWC Coffeehouse in Bronxville, NY. Check the shows page for details!
I can't say thank you enough to the kind people who came out on a Sunday night to support and watch original music at The Bitter End. This was my second time playing with the NY Singer/Songwriter Sessions, and it was even better this time around. Lots of talent in the room, and it always feels gratifying to be on such an iconic stage. I look forward to doing it again.
Thanks to everyone who came out on yet another freezing cold night to The Way Station in Brooklyn. It was a fun night, with great cocktails, company and live music. If you are in the area hit this place up....it's a friendly and unique environment, and I hope to play there again. Hopefully some live audio will make it up on the site shortly.
It was a damn frigid night in Croton, but a great crowd of music and beer lovers braved it to support the Green Growler's songwriter series. A big thank you to everyone who came out, listened, and shared kind words after the show. I hope to be back.
Check out my host, Frank, and the amazing blues player who joined us, Jason:
I love Guild guitars. I love their history, their look, sound and feel. Mostly I love my Guild M-20, which is plastered all over this website and is my go-to guitar. It was the first guitar I purchased when I started working for Rudy's Music in NYC back in 2010 and I hope to give it life for many many more years. Today Guild was kind enough to return the love with some Facebook and Instagram postings, and I couldn't be happier.
Go get yourself a Guild. It's beyond worth it.
I had another great evening playing and listening at Recologie's Songwriters Circle. They've opened a new performance space which is really beautiful, and provided a great environment for a night of listening. If you are in or near the area, please consider supporting these nights. It's harder and harder to find such cool spaces to nurture talent in.
Things are a little quiet right now but I am working on some new shows coming up. More info to come!
Last night I played the BWC Coffehouse in Bronxville, NY and it was an even better time than I had expected. The audience was attentive and kind, and Kathleen Pemble and Sal Casabianca both gave outstanding performances. If you are in the area please check out the rest of their schedule this winter, it's a rare treat to see music in such an intimate environment. Below is some audio from the show, so it's almost like you were there!
I had a fantastic time performing at Duplex last night as part of their songwriter's night. Met some really talented people, and heard some truly incredible songs. It's always a little stressful for me to go into a setting like this, feeling like my material won't "measure up" to other peoples. But the environment was very welcoming and supportive, which was a great relief. Please go check out any of the songwriters nights that they have here, you'll be sure to find something you enjoy.
